Emotional Intelligence and Leadership
Emotional intelligence has been downplayed as a soft skill coming last after intelligence, technical ability and experience, until the success of Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence books brought to the forefront overwhelming research evidence about the importance of emotions in management and leadership. EI is one of the best predictors of success both for individuals and organizations. Emotional Intelligence is the ability to understand yourself and others, using that understanding to achieve desired results.
This course will use the four building blocks of Emotional Intelligence to increase leadership skills that will allow participants to “lead with heart,” inspiring their employees to go beyond the call of duty. It will help you gain healthy confidence, resilience and social skills that will positively influence your work performance and the ways people respond to you.
