Membership to our website is free of charge and provides you with access to the necessary tools to purchase products and services offered by Emotionalbalance.ca. Membership on our website does not constitute implicit free access to those products and services unless products or services are explicitly provided to our members free of charge.

You need an account for most activities on our platform, including to purchase and enroll in a course or to submit comments. When setting up and maintaining your account, you must provide and continue to provide accurate and complete information, including a valid email address. You have complete responsibility for your account and everything that happens on your account, including for any harm or damage (to us or anyone else) caused by someone using your account without your permission. This means you need to be careful with your password. You may not transfer your account to someone else or use someone else’s account without their permission. If you contact us to request access to an account, we will not grant you such access unless you can provide us the login credential information for that account. If you share your account login credential with someone else, you are responsible for what happens with your account and we will not intervene in disputes between individuals who have shared account login credentials.

You must notify us immediately upon learning that someone else may be using your account without your permission (or if you suspect any other breach of security) by using our contact page. We may request some information from you to confirm that you are indeed the owner of your account.

If you are younger than the required age, you may not set up an account, but we encourage you to invite a parent or guardian to open an account and help you read materials, and enroll in courses that are appropriate for you. If we discover that you have created an account and you are younger than the required age for consent to use online services (for example, 13 in the US), we will terminate your account.

You can terminate your account at any time. When you do so, all information associated with your account is permanently deleted from our records and no copies of information associated with your account are retained.

Termination of Membership

You may remain a member of our website and continue to access any purchased online recorded courses and other materials made available to you for as long as you desire and as long as you are not in breach with the terms and conditions described in this agreement.

We reserve the right to terminate your membership and discontinue your access to any products and services, even those you have paid for, in the event you are in breach of this agreement. In the event of such termination, you are still eligible for any refunds as described under Paid Services, 3. Refunds section of this agreement.

Paid Services

Emotionalbalance.ca offers its members a number of paid services. The terms described in this section of this agreement apply to our paid services unless the product or service is accompanied by its own Terms, in which case, the specific Product or Service Terms and Conditions apply.

  1. Payments
    1. When you make a payment, you agree to use a valid payment method.
    2. You agree to pay the fees for services that you purchase, and you authorize us to charge your PayPal account or process other means of payment (such as cheques or cash payments) for those fees.

If your payment method fails and you still received the service or product you have selected to purchase, you agree to pay us the corresponding fees within thirty (30) days of notification from us. We reserve the right to disable access or refuse participation to any course or coaching program for which we have not received adequate payments.
  2. Pricing
    1. The prices of courses on our website are determined based on the course type and the delivery method used. Recorded online courses typically have a lower price then instructor-led courses. Instructor-led courses may vary depending on the number of seats available and in case of classroom courses based on the selected venue.
    2. We regularly run promotions and sales for our courses and certain courses are only available at discounted prices for a set period of time. The price applicable to a course will be the price at the time you complete your purchase of the course (at checkout).
    3. Emotionalbalance.ca may from time-to-time decide to provide “compassionate discounts” to some of our members. Such discounts are individual and made at the sole discretion of emotionalbalance.ca and do not extend to other members than those specifically selected for the “compassionate discount” offer.
    4. All prices shown online are represented in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Prices shown include any applicable federal and provincial taxes.
  3. Refunds
    1. Online Recorded Courses

    2. Online Instructor-Led Courses, Classroom Instructor-Led Courses and Private Coaching
      1. This category of services involves cost commitments, and with your cancellation potential losses on the part of Emotionalbalance.ca and the instructor that provides the course. Instructors may decline other opportunities when a course is scheduled. For Classroom Instructor-Led Courses and Private Coaching events we make financial commitments in securing and adequately preparing a venue.
      2. Participation in Online Instructor-Led Courses, Classroom Instructor-Led Courses and Private Coaching may be canceled at any time.
      3. Cancellations received more than 5 business days prior to the scheduled event will be refunded in full.
      4. Cancellations received less than 5 business days prior to the scheduled event are not eligible for refunds.
      5. We reserve the right to re-schedule or cancel an event when there is no sufficient participation to the event. The booking tool on our web-site will inform you the minimum number of attendees for each event and the current enrollment.
      6. In the event that we cancel or re-schedules an event, for any reason and at any time, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid for the event. If the event was re-scheduled, you will need to re-enroll for the newly scheduled event date in case you desire to participate. The reason we ask you to re-enroll for re-scheduled events is because we do not want to create any obligation to you without your approval. By re-enrolling you confirm your availability for the re-scheduled event.
  4. Entitlement
    1. Once you have paid for a Product, you are entitled to the following:
      1. For Online Recorded Courses:
        1. Access and view of the course materials using our website for the duration of your membership.
        2. You may not copy, distribute, or otherwise make available the course materials to others unless you have our express written consent to do so.
      2. For Instructor-Led Courses:

        2. Any materials that the instructor may decide to distribute to you during the event.

  5. Reinstatement

We do not keep detailed information for terminated or canceled accounts. If you have willingly or accidentally terminated your account, you may create a new account on our website. When you do so, you may re-gain access to your previously purchased courses if you are able to provide to us a valid proof of purchase for each claimed product.

If your account was terminated as a result of a breach with these Terms, we reserve the right to prevent you from becoming a member or access previous purchases. A decision regarding such situation will be made, at our sole discretion, based on the breach of Terms.
